Schedules for Shortened Weeks

  • There will be NO in-person classes or after school activities during shortened school weeks.
  • November 4-6:
    • This will be a “B” week.
    • We will run our distance learning schedule with hours 1-3 on Wednesday, hours 4-5 on Thursday, and hours 6-7 on Friday.
  • November 23 & 24:
    • This will be an “A” week.
    • Synchronous (live) morning meetings will take place for advisory classes on both Monday and Tuesday.
    • Asynchronous (recorded) lessons and/or assessments for class periods 1-7 will also be posted by teachers via Schoology on both Monday & Tuesday.
  • December 21 & 22:
    • This will be an “A” week.
    • Synchronous (live) morning meetings will take place for advisory classes on both Monday and Tuesday.
    • Asynchronous (recorded) lessons and/or assessments for class periods 1-7 will also be posted by teachers via Schoology on both Monday & Tuesday.

Mark Your Calendar for Picture Day

  • School pictures will take place on Monday, November 9, and Wednesday, November 11, for hybrid (in-person) students. Pictures will take place during the school day.
  • School pictures will be held from 3-6 p.m. on both days for distance learning students.
  • We will be asking families to register for a block of time next week to ensure we have the appropriate number of staff and safety protocols put in place.

  • The easiest way to order school pictures is online. CLICK HERE to go directly to the RMS Online Order Form. Please submit your order before Monday, November 9.

  • Our MN Brands for Good fundraiser is winding down but there is still time to order! We have extended the deadline to this Sunday, October 25. Shop now
  • Be sure to enter RMS and your child's name in the correct spots at checkout so we get credit and your child's name goes into a drawing for prizes. Thank you to those who have already ordered. We will use the proceeds to support the teacher wish lists.
  • Thank you to everyone who ate at Chipotle. We will be having another restaurant fundraiser on November 17. More details to come but please put this date on your calendar. 

Homeroom at Hope

  • Is your child in need of a nice, quiet place to get stuff done? Richfield Middle and High School students are welcome to Homeroom at Hope! All of the details and registration information is below:
    • IMPORTANT: If you want to come to HOMEROOM but you do not have a ride, don't worry! Transportation can be arranged! Contact Darby below.
    • WHERE: Hope Church, 7132 Portland Ave. S - Door 2  
    • WHEN: Thursday Mornings! Check-in at 8:50 a.m. and stay until noon.
    • Socially distant learning space to get your work done! 
    • Breakfast and lunch
    • Internet access
    • Homework help and tutoring as requested!
    • WHO: ​RMS and RHS Students​ and your YL leaders.

Domestic Abuse Awareness Month Resources

  • As October commemorates the Domestic Abuse Awareness Month, several agencies have joined forces to fight against domestic abuse, including The Richfield Police Department, No Wrong Door, Casa de Esperanza, CUHCC, Hennepin County Attorney's Office, NAMI MN, Plan Parenthood, Immigration Law Center, Red Door, MN Legal Aid, Cornerstone and MDH.
  • On Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2020, the JCPP program along with the Richfield Police Department will host a Virtual Resource Fair - Domestic Violence Awareness Month meant to prevent, report, and heal from domestic abuse.
