Learn About the Youth in Action Program

The Youth in Action (YA!) program is a college access and mentorship program for Latinx high school students; outgoing 8th graders and 9th-11th graders are eligible to apply.

The YA! program strives to empower Latinx youth to become future leaders in their communities by equipping them with a network of peers, mentors and parents to support and guide their achievement of academic goals, educational aspirations and professional potential.

The program follows the academic year and runs September-June. Scholarships are offered to participants upon graduating; every year that a student participates in the program, they accumulate a $250 scholarship amount to be used toward college fees!

P-EBT Benefits

Earlier this year, the Minnesota Department of Human Services sent information on P-EBT benefits to eligible families that included benefit amounts. Unfortunately, the information was not very clear and there has been some confusion as to how much a family should have received. Here is some clarification from our Director of Nutrition Services.
