3rd Annual Richfield Powwow to Celebrate Native Culture

On November 14, Richfield High School will host its third annual powwow to celebrate Native American culture and kick off Native American Heritage Month.

The powwow is led by RHS Indigenous Education Coordinator Sam Weaver, alongside student leaders, the Indigenous Parent/Guardian Advisory Committee and community partners. Guests can expect an evening filled with traditional drumming and dancing, food trucks, Native craft vendors and inclusive activities for all ages.

For Native students, the powwow is especially meaningful. It provides a space to feel seen, proud and connected to their heritage. For the broader Richfield community, it’s an opportunity to experience and celebrate the richness of Native culture.

“All are welcome at this event,” said Weaver. “The powwow is a celebration of resilience, identity and community coming together.”

  • Location: Richfield High School
