Dear RMS Families,
I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the 2024-25 family survey. This year, we had our highest number of family responses ever, and I am so grateful for your engagement and thoughtful feedback.
I’m especially proud to share that 89% of our families said they would recommend RMS to a parent or guardian seeking a school for their child. That is a meaningful reflection of the community we’re building together. At the same time, I know that 11% shared they would not—and that feedback is just as important. We are committed to continuous improvement, and I want to ensure every family feels confident and supported. If you have concerns or experiences to share, please don’t hesitate to reach out so the building team can respond and support.
Your insight helps us grow. We’re reviewing the survey data to identify patterns and areas where we can continue improving. In response to feedback, we’ll continue to send bi-weekly updates from the building, and monthly updates from Park teams to help you stay connected and informed.
We're also continuing to refine our bullying and harassment response process, including supporting students and staff in understanding the difference between conflict and bullying. This is essential work as we build a safe and supportive environment for all students.

- RMS has done an amazing job in communication and expectations with my son. When things are going well and when they are not, we are in the loop and it is handled incredibly well. Thank you for the work you have done to support staff and students.

- I think Principal Barlow is doing amazing work and each year my child has been there, it has improved and feels better from year to year.
- I was scared to have my child, who has autism, transition to middle school. But the principal and all staff there have been amazing, and so far, 6th grade has been his best year yet!
- I’m very pleased with the RMS teachers and staff, they are very talented and dedicated. I’m also very happy with the superintendent, who has done a great job with the overall commitment to the district. Recently, we attended the info session on registering for 9th grade classes, and it was clear that the HS counselors go above and beyond to make the process as smooth as possible. Overall, I am very happy with Richfield’s schools.
